1080i = 1920H x 1080V x 30Frames x 10bits/sample = 1.5 Gbps
1080p = 1920H x 1080V x 60Frames x 10bits/sample = 3.0 Gbps
The old arguement is dead: 720p more temporal resolution, 1080i more spatial resolution
Now 1080p has more of both. 720p will leave the scene
